Patrick Scott "Pat" Sanders, 59, of Lidgerwood, ND, and formerly of Aberdeen, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017, at his home in Lidgerwood.
His memorial service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, Aberdeen, with Pastor Gary Compton officiating.
Patrick's wishes were to be cremated with interment taking place at Riverside Memorial Park in Aberdeen at a later date.
Patrick Scott Sanders was born December 20, 1957, to Michael and Jeanne (Preston) Sanders in Aberdeen, SD. This is the area where he was raised and attended grade school and Aberdeen Central High School.
Pat became a machinist by trade and was employed at K.O. Lee and Cardinal Tool in Aberdeen.
Pat was united in marriage to Mary Jean "Jeannie" Doerr in Aberdeen on July 31, 1998. The couple later moved to North Dakota, where he was employed at Bobcat Company in Gwinner until the time of his death.
Pat enjoyed classic cars, golfing, playing softball, car racing, and watching Minnesota Vikings football on TV. He especially enjoyed spending time with his buddies and co-workers. Pat loved everyone and never met a stranger. He was always cracking jokes and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Pat leaves behind his wife, Jeannie; sons, Jamey and Danny Dunagan; two grandchildren; his sister, Stacy (Jerry) Nicholson; his uncle, Robert Preston; a niece and nephew; several cousins, as well as many other close family and friends.
Pat is preceded in death by his infant son, Gabe; his grandparents; his father and mother, Mike and Jeanne Sanders; one brother, Mikie; and his aunt and uncle, Geraldine and Kenneth Peckham.
