CHAZY – Ernest Coulombe, Sr., 65, died in his car on Rte 191 Sunday following a heart seizure.
He was born in Champlain Nov. 19, 1907, the son of Ledger and Laura (LaFountain) Coulombe.
He is survived by his wife, the former Geraldine Mooso; two sons, Ernest Jr. and Calvin Coulombe; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Carol) Rascoe and Mrs. Conrad (Beverly) Bechard; five brothers, Freddie, Thomas, Joseph, Maurice and Ivan Coulombe of Champlain; a sister, Mrs. Laura Guyette of Champlain; five grandchildren.
He worked as a machinist for the Sheridan Co. of Champlain for 37 years and retired in January.
