Shelia Young, 54, went to be with her Lord, on Friday, April 14, 2017 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, surrounded by her loving family. Shelia was born October 11, 1962, the daughter of the late Sam Cherry Young Jr. and Lillie Mae Hill Young. Shelia united with the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Broken Bow at a very early age, attending until her health failed. She was an avid softball and basketball player, even trying out football and participating in track. She was an outgoing person who loved everyone and never met a stranger. Shelia will be missed and remembered by all who knew her.



Shelia was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lillie Mae Young; brother, Anthony Young Sr. and Sam Young Jr.; nephews, Stevon Hammond, William Mack Jr., Jerel Westbrook and Ricky Young Jr.; brother-in-law, Steven Hammond.



Her memory will be forever cherished by her brothers, Ricky Young Sr. and wife Brenda and Ronnie Young of Broken Bow; sisters, Sandra Greenlee and husband Jake of Locksburg, Arkansas, Rita Young of Broken Bow, Denise Cherry and husband Harold of Durant, Oklahoma; Eyvonne Westbrook and husband David and Cherry Hammond of Oklahoma City; Cynthia King and husband Dwayne of Broken Bow, and Justene Ross and husband Steve of Nashville, Arkansas; her caregiver, Feleshia Chandler and husband Charles of Broken Bow and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who loved her dearly.
