Richard was born October 12, 1940, the son of John Henry and Alta Annetta (Bond) Bunting, their thirteenth child. Beloved husband to Sharon for 50 years; dear father to Trina (Jeff) Hillman and Marna (Wayne) Smith; loving and fun grandpa to Lindsey Smith. Richard was born and raised in Albion, IL and moved to West Branch, MI where he finished school and met Sharon Sheick. He worked for the Highway Department and then joined his brothers in the Aggregate business, former owner Tri-City Aggregates. His hard work and dedication provided him with many successes and allowed him to retire at the age of 50. Richard enjoyed spending time at home, seeing his family at annual reunions, golfing with the Big 12, playing softball and hockey, and most of all being outside. If you knew Richard, everything he did was fast, and he never sat still. His generosity was felt by many, whether he was lending a helping hand, buying your lunch, or giving you a gift.
Special thanks to Visiting Angels, his "ladies": Lydia, Lorrie, Vicki, Cathy, Darla, Kim, Amanda, and Mary. You are superhero's in the care and compassion you had for our father.
Surviving are: 2 children, Trina (Jeff) and Marna (Wayne); granddaughter, Lindsey; sister, Virginia "Ginny" Dungey of IL; many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Sharon; brother, Mark, Nile "Snuffy", Melbourne "Barney", Edgar, Clyde, John; and sisters, Cleda, Estella "Leno", Esther, Sadie, and Anna.
