Clinton E. Copeland, 70, of 118 Mendota St., died yesterday at General Hospital after a two-month illness. He was president and general manager of the Velcrest Co., a greeting card firm at 115 Edwards Ave.

Mr. Copeland was born April 6, 1891 in Richland county, living most of his life in this area. He was a member of the Lincoln Heights Chiurch of the Brethren and served as deacon and bond chairman of the church building fund and held offices in the district, regional and national men's work of the Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Kathryne Huck Copeland; two sons, William H. of Mansfield, and R. Selwyn Copeland of Nappanee, IN; two grandsons and one granddaughter; two brothers, Glenn Copeland of Hayesville and Raymond Copeland of Mansfield.

Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Wappner Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery. the family said contributions may be made to the church building fund.
