Clara Gordon Davis obit
Russell's mother and Bill's grandmother, Clara, suffered a stroke on a Friday and died the following Wednesday. She was 76 and lived at 3746 S. 27th W. Ave. with her husband Otis Davis. Clara was a native of Galena, Kans. and came to Tulsa from Commerce in 1934. She was a member of First Christian at Commerce. She was survived by Otis, 3 sons,George L., Skellytown, Tx., Russell,1606 N. Wheeling Ave., Tulsa, Harry, Sand Springs (all Gordon's), 3 daughters, Amanda Post, Rayne, La., Ruby Lockhard, 1316 E. 26th St., brother Bill Hampton, Fairland, 2 sisters, Mrs. Lula Hayes, Portland, Or., Mrs. Dolly Trotter, Longview, Tx., 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, & 2 great-great-grandchildren. Interred in Woodland cemetary, Sand Springs. Service- Sand Springs Church of God. (R.L. Mobley funeral home.)

NOTE: Her first husband was Lenord Gordon whom she married on December 11, 1896 in Muskogee, OK.
