ROGER LEE8 COE (Albert Luther7, Andrew Jackson6, Thomas J.5, William4, John L.3, William2, Francis Peter1), Seven Mile Ford, VA, 65, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at his home. Mr. Coe was born in Smyth County to the late Albert and Pauline Coe and was preceded in death by his brothers, Sonny, Skip and Bobby Coe; and a sister, Barbara Coe. He was self-employed in the upholstery business for many years and was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church.

Survivors include wife, Elaine Coe; one son, Vinson Coe, Seven Mile Ford; one daughter, April Hayden and husband, Buddy, Glade Spring; brother, Donnie Coe and wife, Yolanda, Bristol, VA; grandchildren, Jason Hayden and wife, Christine, Josh Hayden, John Hayden; great-grandchildren, Toby and Luke Hayden; brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law, Barbara Coe, Chilhowie, Joey and Kathy Elswick, Chilhowie, Kevin and Sandy Elswick, Chilhowie, Sandra Lee Trout, York, PA; aunt, Lola Frye; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special pet, Archey

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Faith Fellowship, Home Nursing Co., Inc., Hospice and Palliative Care, Lincare, Smyth County Community Hospital, Cancer Center in Marion and Abingdon, UVA Hospital, Dr. Reibel and Staff, Dr. Pooja Barnham, Jessica Hill, Dr. Reynolds, Dr. Davis and Dr. Bowman for the care given to Roger during his illness.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bradley's Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with a graveside funeral service to follow at Mountain View Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Blevins officiating. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions can be made to the family to help with medical expenses. Pallbearers will be Buddy Hayden, Jason Hayden, John Hayden, Josh Hayden, Robbie Coe and Butch Coe. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Little, Scotty McCormick, Jackie Ratliff, Timmy Dolinger, Joan Doane and Curtis Armstrong. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com.
