James Matthew Messick, age 22, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was born on July 31, 1994 in Rome, Georgia the son of Randall Messick and Wanda Buttram Rhinehart. He was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Messick and his grandmother, Willie Bailey.
James Matthew Messick is survived by his mother, Wanda B. Rhinehart (Nevin); his father, Randall Messick( Tabitha Dawson); his daughter, Mattie Grace Messick; his brother, Mickey Buttram; step sister, Raven Rhinehart; step brother, Jordan Dawson; nieces, Lexi Buttram and Aleia Michelle Buttram; his grandparents, Effie & Jimmy Messick, Jack Buttram and Ed Fortenberry and his great grandmother, Sudie Cumbaa. A number of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services for James Matthew Messick will be conducted on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Sherry Donaldson, Rev. Mike Edwards and Rev. Ronnie Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Borden Springs Church of Christ Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.
