Funeral service for Clara Gertrude Hardin, 92, will be Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM at New Center Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Bates officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will be in New Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hardin died on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born January 19, 1925, in Georgia to Joe Wheeler Compton and Elva Leon (Roberson) Compton. She was a member of New Center Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker, who loved to provide meals for family and friends, whenever needed. She was preceded in death by her husband Brady Hardin and a son: Myron Hardin.

Survivors include:

Two Sons:

Larry Hardin (Lynda), Somerville, AL and
Tommy Hardin (Tammy), Falkville, AL

Two Daughters:

Cynthia Nobinger (Robert), Somerville, AL and
Elaine Perry (Steve), Hartselle, AL

One Brother:
Benny Joe Compton, Cullman, AL

9 Great Grandchildren
