Mr. Glenn Watson age 64 of the Hinton Community passed away Saturday April 29, 2017. He was employed by Amicalola EMC as a line foreman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Viola Watson and Sister, Mary Ellen Cannady.

He is survived by his Wife, Paulette Watson of the Hinton Community. Children, Brandy Watson, Michael Ponders, Dennis Ponders, and Angie Ponders, all of Talking Rock. Grandchildren, Zaylee Higgins, Chandler Ponders, David Ponders, Bradley Fowler, and John Harley Ponders, all of Talking Rock and Caitlin Carlile of Al. Brothers and Sisters in law, Emory and Edna Watson, Blue Ridge, Larry and Johnette Watson, Hinton, Mike and Janie Watson, Jasper, Sister and Brother in law, Marie and Wayne Phillips, of Calhoun. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM Tuesday May 2, 2017 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Kelley officiating. The interment will follow in the Hinton Community Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-9 PM and Monday from 10 AM until 9 PM, and Tuesday morning until 1:30 PM.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper.
