On Tuesday, April 25, 2017 Helen Rowe a longtime resident of Lufkin and business owner of Act III Beauty Salon, went home to our Lord and Savior.
Helen was born May 31, 1942 in Caldwell, Texas, the daughter of the late Annie (Walker) and Frank Zalmanek.
Helen loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the beach, planting flowers, and gardening. She loved her clients at her beauty salon and enjoyed talking with people. She was a member of St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her children, Scarlet Newsom, Greg Ruffin, and Carolyn Suhor. Her grandchildren include Charles David Nallie, Michael Gregory Nallie, and Steven Zackary Estes. Her two great-grandchildren include Audri Claire English, and Jackson Connor Nallie.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, George Franklin Rowe, Jr.
A memorial service will be held May 6, 2017 at St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall following the service.
Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
