Jeffery Lema Cook, 49, passed away at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday, June 21, 2014.
He was born June 23, 1964 in Waynesboro, Virginia to the late Jerry Lee Cook, and is survived by his mother Mildred "Millie" D. Cook Hodge of Afton, Virginia. Also, survived is his wife Diane Houchins Cook of Nellysford, Virginia, one uncle, Bobby Dunn and wife Edna of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, a cousin, Michelle Phillips and husband Todd of Grottoes, Virginia.
He is also preceded in death by his step-father Julian E. Hodge.
Jeffery worked in construction installing pools for years. He was a loving husband, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 2:00 pm from the Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home of Waynesboro. Burial will follow at the Augusta Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday June 23, 2014 from 6pm until 8pm from the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Wintergreen Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 711 Nellysford, VA 22958 or Pegasus Rescue, 1215 Lee St. Charlottesville, VA 22908.
