On early morning Saturday, April 22, 2017 the beloved mom of William, Michelle, Elizabeth and Kathy joined her husband in the Everlasting Life.

Although a native of California with maternal and paternal roots in Spain, Katherine and her Coleman born husband, Retired Sergeant Billy Simmons, lived most of their years together here in San Angelo. Their hobby was growing roses of every color. Katherine had graduated from a Business School and worked in banking and in retail, yet her fondest work was skip tracing. She had a love for people and was able to get their accounts current because she gave them each the respect, consideration, and dignity she herself believed is due to every human being.

Kathy leaves behind her four children, her sister Jody, twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and all their families, each as independent and quick witted as herself.

Many knew Kathy through her K-Mart years and through church. ALL remember her as a caring, kind, considerate person who thought of others and was not afraid to be honest and direct. Her favorite hymns, Day By Day and One Day at A Time, will forever ring in our memory as she had chosen those hymns to accompany her into Everlasting Life. May ALL who knew her remember her fondness of them and find comfort in the Ayapi Love that her gentleness provided. She believed in God The Father, Christ Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, and she had experienced the help of Angels in various times in her 85 years here on earth. We believe and KNOW that Katherine through her belief and love for God has claimed her citizenship in Heaven. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY KATHERINE JUNE BEVERLY SANCHEZ SIMMONS.
