According to the Texas Historical Assn, Susanna died the evening of October 20, 1874, and in "The Forgotton Colony: San Patricio de Hibernia: The History, the People and the Legends of the Irish Colony of McMullen-McGloin," her death date is given as October 20, 1877. Both dates contradict the obit from Galveston Daily News:

"San Patricio County. Mrs. Susannah O'Docharty, relict of Wm. O'Docharty, one of the oldest settlers of San Patricio, died in that place on Thursday last, Nov. 15, in the 73d year of her age. Galveston Daily News, November 27, 1877"
