KEVIN WILLIAM ERSKINE DUNCAN 09/11/1954 - 03/18/2017 Kevin was the man who, when trying to snow ski, always landed face first. He dominated basketball but blew out both knees. Thank God for chess! In 1972, Kevin became a clerk at Holiday Market. He liked telling customers about the lady who tried to steal a turkey by putting it under her dress, between her knees until half way to the door, it dropped on the floor. Suffice it to say, people remember Kevin best from the night of Dec. 8, 1980 when a robber nearly killed him and his father in a holdup. "Bill" Duncan had a permit to carry so when the robber shot Kevin, his dad returned fire. The criminal put a pistol to Bill's head at which point Kevin jumped the counter and started beating the daylights out of the guy. Father and son saved each others lives that night. Kevin continued working for Holiday and Albertsons for nearly 26 years. On March 18th, his heart just stopped. On that day I lost my brother, my best friend. If anyone would like to make a donation, please do so in his name to the Oroville Cemetery office. Thank you. God bless you. Karen Duncan.
