Hazel Adair, age 83, of Skiatook, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Skiatook Nursing Home. Hazel was born January 18, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Samuel J. and Else R. (Jacobson) Johansen. Hazel grew up and received her education in Hayward, California. Hazel married David Ray Adair on September 22, 1951 in Hayward, California making their home in California. Hazel and David moved to Kansas in 1954 then moved to Tulsa in 1957. When David entered into the ministry in 1965 they had moved around to their next calling. After retirement they settled in Bartlesville. Hazel was a professional tailor working for Renbergs and for Rothchilds. Hazel liked quilting and working puzzles. Hazel was a member of the Tulsa Indian Methodist Church. Hazel was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband David and one sister, Darlene Escano. Funeral services for Hazel will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Karges, officiating. Interment will follow in the Stilwell Cemetery.
