Brandon Wayne “Kool-Aid” Sims, age 31, of KY Hwy 1247 in Waynesburg, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born Thursday, September 23, 1982 in Danville, he was the son of Carol Wray Buchanan of Moreland and the late Newland Wayne Sims. His loving wife is Winona Jean Owen Sims, whom he married October 14, 2000. Brandon worked as a truck driver and loved to fish and play Xbox, in his spare time.

In addition to his wife, Brandon leaves behind two sons, Brandon Edward’Wayne Sims and Brayden Wayne Sims both of Waynesburg; his mother and father-in-law, Jack and Kathy Owens of Danville; one sister, Katrina Culbertson (Danny) of Stanford; and close friends, Shawn Griffin, Meatloaf, Brian Cook, Nisha Penman, Jason Masterson, and Michael & Michelle Owens.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home with Grant Tackett officiating the service. Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. Shirley Hamilton, Ben Poynter, Michael Owens, Meatloaf, Carl Graham, Brian Cook, Jason Masterson, and Stickman will serve as Active Pallbearers. Shawn Griffin and Jack Owens will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Visitation will be held 6-9PM Friday, May 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
