Cory Christopher Welch, age 36, passed away unexpectedly at home in Obetz on April 27, 2017. Born on December 28, 1980, in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Gahanna Lincoln High School and graduated from Logan High School Class of 1999. Preceded in death by grandparents, Charles and Norma Romine, James Tallman and Kenneth Welch; nieces, Zoe Welch, Hannah and Emily Rucker; sister-in-law, Heather Rucker. Cory is survived by parents, Donny and Sandra Welch; siblings, Anna Sparks (Jamie), C.A. (Chasity) Rucker, Donny (Elena) Welch Jr., and Casey (Angela) Welch; grandmother, Benni Tallman; 14 nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends, and cat, Mishka. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017, 4:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 pm at the O. R. Woodyard South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. Pastor Todd Henry officiating. Private family interment at Lithopolis Cemetery.
