Lila Mae (Trott) Stafford 90, Attica, passed away in the St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital, Saturday, April 29, 2017.

Lila was born in Fountain County, Indiana on July 26, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie Mae (Ennis) Trott. Lila was raised in Portland Arch, attending Covington High School. She has resided in Attica for over 70 years, before going to the Williamsport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in 2011.

Lila worked in the cafeteria at the Attica High School for several years. She later worked in the Index Notion Store in Attica until her retirement in 1981. She was very proud of being a farm wife.

Lila was a member of the Attica First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Bethel Community Circle. She enjoyed raising flower and vegetable gardens. Lila was fond of animals and enjoyed raising Toy Rat Terriers.

On February 11, 1946, Lila married Samuel E. Stafford in Sterling, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2010.

She leaves behind her daughter, Dema (Robert) Freeman; a granddaughter, Sandra Freeman; four grandsons, Bradley (Karmen) Freeman, David Stafford. William (Vanessa) Stafford and Noah Stafford; four great-granddaughters; a great great-grandson; a great great-granddaughter and a sister, Neva Eileen (the late Ralph) Tillotson.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas C. Stafford.
