JESSE SAMUEL LEWIS (obituary)

Jesse Lewis went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 in Everett, Washington at the age of 87. He was born June 27th, 1929 in Moorhead City, North Carolina. After serving his country in WWII he traveled the world as a merchant seaman and loved to tell the stories of his many adventures.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Shirley Patricia “Pat” (Giffin) Lewis on September 4th, 2002. After all the years of missing her, he will finally be reunited with her once again. He loved and cherished his family more than anything else on this earth and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his six children; Cheryl (Bill) Burger, Ralph (Julie) Lewis, Dorothy Lewis, Robert Lewis, David (Shelley) Lewis and Charles (Breanna) Lewis; eight Grandsons, five Granddaughters, four Great-Grandsons and four Great-Granddaughters as well as numerous Nieces, Nephews and dear friends, of which he had many through the years because no one was ever a stranger to him.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lena (Guthrie) Lewis; seven sisters and three brothers.
Private graveside services were held on Saturday April 29th 1917 at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett.
