He was born to Fred and Margaret (Henke) Drees. On Nov. 26, 1935, he married Florence Chambers and she died Dec. 8, 1936. On April 29, 1941, he married Virginia Gariety and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Richard (Karen), Versailles; two daughters, Mary Jean (Neal) Pleiman, Osgood, and Rosemarie (Bill) Pierron, Versailles; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.
He retired as a meat cutter at Busse Meats in Fort Loramie after 53 years of service. He later worked for Al Borchers Sharpening Service in Fort Loramie. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Joseph Mens Society and the Apostleship of Prayer, all of Fort Loramie, the Senior Citizens and the Senior Volunteer Program, both of Sidney. He was a charter member of Walkup Country Club, Fort Loramie.
