The fourth of five children of Carmel Haire (1883-1964) and Laure Belle Reeves (1885-1979), Abraham Franklin married Mary Nell Yarborough (1924-2007) on Jan. 18, 1945 in Mississippi. The couple raised six children, three sons and three daughters. Frank received his theological training at the Baptist Seminary in New Orleans. After graduation, he finished his education at Mississippi College, earning a Masters degree in Education, School Administration, and English. He preached at several churches and was pastor for 33 years at Providence Baptist Church in Meadville, MS. He is buried next to his wife in the Providence Church graveyard.
