Charles is survived by his loving family, including former wife, lifetime friend and companion, mother of his children. Two daughters and a son. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles Eli Curell and Vinabelle Sherwood Curell; brother: George and sister: Shirley.
Charles had a long successful career in the grocery business working for AJ Bayless in various cities in Arizona until his retirement in 1987. His final AJ Bayless store was in Show Low, Arizona where he resided and made home since 1980. He had a great love for helping people, especially those less fortunate, with his tremendous ability to shop the grocery bargains, making donations to fire departments and local organizations. He loved fishing and spent many days in Lake Havasu City, where he once caught the catfish of a lifetime. Since then he was commonly known as ‘Catfish Charlie’. He loved Blue Grass music and had wonderful times with his brothers going to Blue Grass Festivals. He had tremendous wit and a great sense of humor.
