Mrs. Jacqueline "Jackie" Isley Hawkins, 69, of 859 Ross Street, Burlington died Wednesday at Cone Health Alamance Regional, Burlington, NC.
Mrs. Hawkins, born in Alamance County, was the daughter of the late Wallace Isley and Addie Mae Murray Grant. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Sherman Alston.
She is survived by her husband, William Henry Hawkins of the home; two sons, William Henry Hawkins III and wife Trechena of Bridgeport, CONN. and Michael Cory Hawkins of Burlington, NC; three daughters, Jackie "Dee Dee" Hawkins French and husband James, Brittany McMillian both of Burlington, NC; Donna Hawkins Shipman and husband Anthony of Nokesville, VA; two brothers, Donnie Ratliff of Burlington, NC; and Anthony Powell and wife Connie of Arkannsas; six sisters, Brenda Isley Hawkins and husband John Daniel, Pamela Brown and husband Ben both of Burlington, NC; Kimberly Webb and husband Wayne of McLeansville, NC; Deborah "Tootie" Forman of FL; Charlene Okoye and husband John and Martha Concepicion and husband Roberto both of Raleigh, NC; and a host of other family and friends.
The family received friends 1-8 PM, Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Alamance Funeral Home, Burlington, NC. and thirty minutes prior services at the church.
The funeral services were held at 2:30 Pm, Sunday, April 30, 2017 at New Covenant Holy Church with the Bishop Harry L. Cohen officiating.
Burial was made in North Lawn Cemetery.
