Mr. Arch Leslie Epling, age 91, of Glade Spring, Va., passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, in Valley Health Care Hospice. Mr. Epling was born March 10, 1926, in Dickenson, County, Va. to the late Sampson Parkis Epling and the late Dixie Mullins Epling. Mr. Epling was a United States Navy veteran having served aboard the U.S.S. Alcor AR-10. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church and a retired coal miner and member of the U.M.W.A. Mr. Epling is survived by his wife of 72 years, Geraldine Deel Epling; son, Terry Epling and wife, Carolyn; daughter, Regenia Dotson and husband, James; two sisters, Anna Rae Owens and Sharon Kay Stanley; three granddaughters; several great-grandchilren and great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with the Rev. Terry Roger Epling, the Rev. Frank Branson, and the Rev.
