Portia Slaughter Jones, 77 of Harrisburg, passed April 23, 2017. She was predeceased by parents Luther Slaughter and Lillian McElrath. Portia retired from the Social Security Administration, was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post # 733 and enjoyed shopping, traveling, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Frank Jones, daughter; Kesia Alston, sister Allegra Monroe, 8 grand, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Services to be held at her church, 1250 Colonial Road on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., viewing 10:00 a.m., burial Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
