JODY I. JOHNSON was born on November 24, 1957 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. As a young girl she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she attended St. Philomena Catholic School and Cleveland Heights High School, graduating at the age of 16. She went on to study accounting at Louisiana State University and then Ohio University, where she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She was a loving wife, mother, dedicated aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed sewing, baking, reading, and was an excellent cook. Jody is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, DeEffridge "Spanky" Johnson, daughter: Trinity (James) Hale, grandchildren: Emersyn and Avery Hale, mother: Vera K. Wilson, sister: Schwann Chaddick, brother: Dereck "Larry" (Pamela R.) Williams, 6 step-children and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, aunts: Gladys W. (Larry C.) McGhee and Mamie Eames and uncle: Ray Williams. Preceding Jody in death is her grandmother: Annie Mae Barron. Jody was loved by all, but God loved her best. She was called home on October 5, 2015, at 5:30am.
