David Wayne Kirkland, 62, of Jesup, died Friday, April 28, 2017, in Grace Moore Nursing Home in Brunswick. The Wayne County native lived most of his life in Jesup until his health failed him the past year and he moved to Brunswick. The retired vault crewman loved to ride his bicycle and fishing. He was predeceased by his parents, Johnny and Juanita Gray Kirkland; sisters, Brenda and Debbie; brother, Ray Kirkland.
Survivors are his wife of 32 years, Ronnie Kirkland of Brunswick; brother, Ronnie Kirkland of Jesup; sister-in-law, Sheila (Fermin) Salgado of Brunswick; 5 nephews, Edward Kirkland, Alexander and Sebastian Salgado, Johnny and Alan McDonald; great nephews, Math Daniel Kirkland and Jalen McDonald; great niece, Nevaeh McDonald.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Jesup City Cemetery with Rev. Jack Lee officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
