Stephen Hanes Farmer MARION, Va. Stephen Hanes Farmer, age 56, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Blue Ash Hospice House in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born in Tacoma Park, Md. to the late Lacy and Delilah Jones Farmer. Steve served in the United States Army and also attended Computer Learning Center where he trained in computer programming. He was at one time a radio disc jockey in S.C. and later worked as a computer programmer and consultant. One of his hobbies was woodworking which he learned from his father Lacy. He is survived by his sisters, Barbara S. Hockman and husband, Larry, of Catlett, Va., Rhonda J. Vanderbloemen and husband, David, of Montpelier, Va.; nephews, Joseph Smith and wife, Sarah, of Stafford, Va. and Jason Smith of San Francisco, Calif.; nieces, Stephanie Hockman of Marshal, Va., Jennifer Taubel and husband, Jason, of Fredericksburg, Va., Jacki Higgins and husband, Chris, of Augusta, Ga., and Amanda Vanderbloemen of Montpelier, Va., as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and great nieces and nephews. In keeping with Mr. Farmer's wishes private interment will be held at the Anderson Hill Cemetery in Grayson County. A celebration of life service will be held at the cemetery at a later date.
