SCHOFIELD, Nina B. - 83, Berwick, died March 5, 1997, in Northwood Centre, Halifax. Born in Springfield, Annapolis Co., she was a daughter of the late Ezekiel and Radie (Woodworth) Acker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mayflower Chapter 2, Aylesford; St. Eudora Rebekah Lodge 43, Berwick; Berwick United Baptist Church and MacPherson Auxiliary. Surviving are son, Ronald, Trenton, Ont.; daughter, Marie Alexander, Halifax; brother, Roy, Lawrencetown, Annapolis Co.; sisters, Eileen Stevens, St. Margarets Bay; Roxie Ryan, Betty Deveau, Dartmouth; Mildred Glister, Gladys Pelton, Wolfville; Marion Baker, Digby County; Dorothy Acker, Halifax; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; brothers, Bobby, Bill, Harry; sisters, Marjorie and Frannie Acker, Nellie Spencer. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Saturday, OES service 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Rebekah Lodge service 7:45 p.m. Saturday, all in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, 192 Commercial St., Berwick. Funeral 2 p.m. Sunday in Berwick United Baptist Church, Pastor Shawn Kehoe officiating. Private family burial in Berwick Cemetery. Reception to follow in the church annex. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or any charity.
