Shane was born on September 7, 1962, in Ranger. He attended school in Fort Worth and was the husband of Terry Mehogan. He worked in the oilfield most of his life and was a Baptist. He will be remembered as a loving son, father, husband, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tommie Young-Rex, in 1981.
Survivors include mother, Doris Young of Eastland; father, Tommy Young of Anson; wife, Terry of Abilene; daughters, Nicole Young, of Eastland, and Demi Young of Canyon Lake; step-children, Lindsay Byers of Phoenix, AZ, Christopher Byers of Tulsa, OK, and Jimmy and Kendall Allison of Tye; sister, Shaye Morley of Abilene; maternal grandmother, Dean Pevehouse of Eastland; aunt, Vickie Reeb of Sheridan, WY; uncle, Marty Sharp of Eastland; a special nephew, Cody Rex and his family of Houston; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
