Darla J. Davis, 54, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Visitation with family will be from noon to 2 p.m., followed by a life tribute service at 2 p.m. led by Pastor Norm Mosier, all on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Following the service, the family would like to invite everyone for refreshments at the Towanda United Methodist Church. Burial at the Towanda Cemetery will be at a later date.
Darla was born on Nov. 16, 1962 in El Dorado, the daughter of Marvin and Phyllis (Burgess) Davis Sr. She attended Butler Community College. She worked at Towanda State Bank for a number of years. Darla enjoyed being with her soulmate Bill Baker for almost 30 years. She loved people: being around them and more especially people watching. Darla also enjoyed playing Bunko and other card games.
Her loving family includes: her significant other, Bill Baker of Towanda; father, Marvin Davis, Sr. of Towanda; brothers, Roy (Linda) Davis of El Dorado and Marvin Davis, Jr. of Towanda; sisters, Tina Leeper of Hutchinson and Anita Mitchell of Towanda; step-daughters, Dannica Baker and Carri (Monty) Hughey; step-son, Jeremy Baker; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Phyllis Davis; daughter, Shelly Rene Davis; son, Marvin Davis Rogers and son, Arthur Rogers III.
