Joyce Paul, 84, long time resident of Fargo, ND died on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Villa Maria Care Center, Fargo.
Joyce Marilyn Iwen was born March 4, 1933 to Elmer and Jennie (McKinnon) Iwen. She was born and raised at Arthur, ND attending grade school and graduating from high school in 1951. Joyce was a good athlete being selected to all tournament and all state in girls basketball. She also was a pitcher on a woman’s softball team - their team winning 1st place in 1953-1954.
Joyce worked in Fargo at the Cass County ASCS Office for over 30 years. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo. Joyce enjoyed being at her lake home on Lake Sally near Detroit Lakes, MN.
She is survived by a sister, Jackie Franke; brother, Gerald (Hazel) Iwen; sister-in-law, Joanne Iwen; along with several nieces and nephews.
Joyce is preceded in death by a brother, Bert Iwen; nephew Curtis Franke and special friend, Carol Rensvold.
Funeral: Monday, May 1, 2017 at 11 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, Fargo with visitation one hour prior.
Interment: Arthur Cemetery.
