Constance Marlene Archer, age 79, died Monday, April 10, 2017 in Cape Coral, Florida. Connie was born in Minneapolis on July 28, 1937, to John Frank and Stella Constance (Holcombe) Schaefer. She grew up in Minneapolis, graduated from Blooming High School and married the love of her life, Bill Archer, in Jackson Hole, WY.

Connie found great enjoyment in her family, many friends and her love of animals, reading, gardening, cooking and volunteering in her community. She had a green thumb and was "the plant lady" at Oak Grove Junior High and Jefferson High School. She served as the Ecology Chairman of Bloomington PTA and on the MN State Board of Realtors. She was past president of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and a member of the Story Woman's Club and the Red Hats.

Connie is survived by her children: Jacqueline (Hal) Hoffman, Louisville, KY, Michelle (Jon) Engum; Detroit Lakes, MN, John Archer; Cape Coral, FL and Geraldine (Dave) Larson; River Falls, WI. Five grandchildren, Joslyn, Mackenzie, Adrienne, Cooper and Victor. Sisters: Susan and Jill. Nephews: Paul, Michael, and James.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill, her parents, sister Gretchen, and brother-in-laws Tom and Mark.

A memorial service will be held in Minneapolis in July honoring her life and her 80th birthday, with final rest near Story, Wyoming. Memorials may be directed to your local Animal Shelter or Pet Rescue group.
