Billy Joe "Bill" Tigner Sr, was born March 14, 1939 in Cherokee, AL and passed away April 26, 2017 at his home in Watson, LA. Bill was an optician for more than 50 years as well as the owner of Bill Tigner's Optical in Baton Rouge, LA. As an optician his work was admired by many in the business. After his retirement he cared for his loving wife Shirley until her death in 2012. Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley M. Tigner, mother, Nellie V. Tigner, father, Charlie A. Tigner, brothers James O. Tigner, Bobby R. Tigner, and sister Mary Tigner Hughes and son Donald Beach. He is survived by his brother, Charles Tigner, sons Billy Joe Tigner Jr and wife Libby, Michael Anderson Tigner and wife Melinda, Mark Bradlee Tigner and wife Charlene, Randy Beach and wife Susan; and daughter Joyce Beach O'Bannon, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 11 am to 1 pm. A graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Leon Dunn. Pallbearers will be: Joshua Tigner, Jordan Tigner, Brandon O'Bannon, Shannon O'Bannon, Steven Beach, and Jeremy Beach. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles O'Bannon, Hayden Tigner and Kolten Tigner.
