Jerry was born at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 10, 1945. He was the son of Dorothy J. Stoltzman and Alfred C. Stiles. When he was younger and growing up in Mahtomedi, he was a tap dancer. Throughout his life, Jerry was self-employed as a carpenter and painter but when he was not working, he enjoyed spending his time outdoors. Particularly, his favorite thing to do outside was fishing. He would go fishing anywhere he could whether it was Bald Eagle Lake or taking his family and friends up north to fish. Jerry was an avid traveler and would take the train or bus out of town whenever possible. He had family out in Florida and California and went to see them quite often.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred (Adelle) Stiles and Dorothy (Robert Feeney) Stiles.
