Joseph C. Lennon Sr. of Osprey, FL and Feasterville, PA passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Chandler Hall Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. He was 89.

He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen L. Musselman Lennon.

Born in Jamaica Plain, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Margaret R. Norton Lennon. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard during World War II.

Joe founded County Business Systems in 1970, Image One Corp. in 1994 and Lencor, LLC in 2003, along with numerous other business ventures over the years. He loved to work and met many colleagues that became good friends over the years.

His greatest passion was sailing the Chesapeake Bay with his family and friends on his boat “Summer Wind”. It was always an adventure. Everyone has a story to tell. But once he found Siesta Key, FL, it was hard to get him back North. He told everyone he met how it has the best beach in the USA. He fell in love with the area and bought a condo on the beach and the rest is history. His family shared many vacations and happy memories there.

Joe will be sadly missed as a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather by his children Joseph C. Lennon, Jr., Nancy A. Allen and her husband Richard, Kathleen M. Tate and her husband Mark, William M. Lennon and his wife Grace, and Diane K. Lennon. He was the proud grandfather to Steven Tomlinson (Elysia), Brian Tomlinson, Stacy Creighton (Mike), Christopher Rodgers, Daniel Rodgers (Beth), Killian Lennon and Callahan Lennon and Great-Grandfather to Brian Tomlinson, Jr., Danika Tomlinson, Bryce Tomlinson, Quinn Tomlinson, Elias Tomlinson, Kaylee Creighton, JR Creighton, and William Rodgers. He is also survived by his sister Mary Lynch and her husband Ed, brothers William Lennon and his wife Mary and John Lennon and his late wife Laraine, numerous nieces and nephews and his loving companion Elaine Gwynn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Joe’s life on Thursday, May 4 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.)
