Tammy D. McClure Stevens, 49, Alexandria, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 24, 2017, at Community Hospital of Anderson.
She was born on Jan. 27, 1968, in Spaulding County, Georgia. Tammy devoted her life to the care and nurturing of her family.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard "Skip" Stevens, whom she married Aug. 1, 2016; daughter, Brandy Hawkins of Carrol County, Ga.; two sons, Brian McClure of Carroll County, Georgia, and Bradley Hudson of Alexandria; three grandchildren; stepchildren, Stephanie Mouncey, Katherine Stevens, Abbygail Stevens, Cody Painter, Brantley Stevens and Nicholas Stevens; and two siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Mary (Thomason) Queen; and stepson, Jefferson Stevens.
Services honoring Tammy's life and legacy will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St., Alexandria, with Pastor Gary McCaslin officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Friends may call one hour before service Friday at the funeral home.
