Edythe R. Colburn, age 95, of South Toledo, passed away August 24, 2004, in St. Luke's Hospital. Born June 25, 1909, in Wyandotte Co. to LeRoy and Lucey (Chaitlain) Comstock. Mrs. Colburn worked in the unit control office for the former Lamsons Department Stores. Mrs. Colburn was the last living charter member of Concordia Lutheran Church and volunteered for a number of years at St. Luke's Hospital.

Edythe was preceded by her husbands, Harold B. Courtad and Grafton Colburn; daughters, Janet Wheeler, Helen Emmett; her parents and 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Steinman and Mona (Earl) Laishley; sister, Cuba Kieffer; also surviving are 12 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Concordia Lutheran Church Friday evening, August 27, 2004, from 7-8 p.m. with a celebration of life service being held at 8 p.m. Interment will be held in Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Memorials can be made to Concordia Lutheran Church or to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to thank the staff at The Glendale for their kind and loving care shown to our mother, Edythe.
