Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, at Smyrna United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Tal Madison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Larry was a native of Moore County. He loved his family and especially enjoyed time spent with his grandson, Bradley. He loved to buy, sell and trade, and had friends all over North Carolina that loved to do the same.
He was a son of the late Newton and Pearl Williamson Hussey and was preceded in death by sisters Shirley Brower and Ruby Beane.
Larry is survived by his wife, Kim, of the home; daughter, Casey Cheek and husband, Tyler, of Seven Lakes; son, Cody Hussey, of the home; grandson, Bradley Cheek; sisters Bonnie Phillips, of Fayetteville, and Nancy Chisholm and husband, Daniel, of Asheboro; and brothers, Jack Hussey and wife, Betsy, of Robbins, and Arnold Hussey and wife, Pam, of Robbins.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Kennedy Funeral Home and other times at the home. He will also lie in state at Smyrna United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the funeral at 2 p.m.
