On Monday, April 24, 2017, The Almighty God, who does all things well, suddenly closed the eyes of our beloved, Pauline. Pauline Mary Miles Page was born on January 9, 1939 to the Union of the late Jeffrey H. Miles and Louisa Carrington Miles of Faber, Virginia. Pauline was born and resided in Nelson County.

She was a lifelong member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church where she served as Church Clerk, Sunday School Secretary, sang on the Choir and was a dedicated member of the Sunday school and Church as a whole. She graduated from the Nelson Training Center, Valedictorian in 1956. After graduation she worked for “City Laundry” in Charlottesville, Virginia for a few years. She moved to New York where she resided for 12 years living with her Aunt Eula Cannon and Sister Helen. While there she worked for a printing and photography company. She moved back home in 1971.

After coming home she worked for The University of Virginia Printing and Copy Services, Alderman Library Copy Center, as a Micro photographer for 30 years. After retirement, Pauline kept herself active in various Community Organizations, such as Martin Luther King, Jr. scholarship committee, Nelson County Tri-ad, Nelson County Rescue squad and Faber Fire Auxiliary, Nelson county Alumni Committee, Piedmont Valley Baptist Sunday school Association and Zion women’s Ministry to name a few.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, three Sisters, Doris Miles, Estelle Page and Eva Clarice White and one Brother, James L. Miles.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Darrell Miles and Daughter-in-Law Michelle Miles of Herndon, Virginia, three grandsons, Devin Miles, Marcus Miles and Mason Miles of Herndon, Va., one Step-son, Herbert Page Jr. (Faye) of Richmond, Va., One Brother, Goffrey Miles (Helen) of Faber, Va., Three Sisters, Helen Lee of Richmond, Va., Eula Johnson (Curtis) of Ewing Township, NJ and Annie Mickens of Petersburg, Va. Two devoted nieces, Ethel Morse and Angela Jones of Faber, Va., Five Sister-in-laws and One Brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday April 28, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lovingston, Va. With the Rev. Ernie M. Morse Officiating. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Nelson County Rescue Squad in her memory in C/O Stevie Ashley 114 James Lane Lovingston, Va. 22949.
