Don Allman Fowler, 73, of Alexander, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Mission Hospital.
Don was born in Buncombe County on January 28, 1944 to the late Clifford and Viola Allman Fowler. He was a teacher with Madison County Schools for 31 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Dorothy Moore Fowler; two daughters, Sharon Miller (George) and Lisa Hicks (Greg); brother, Cline Fowler (Mary Ruth); eight grandchildren: Anthony Ball (Amanda), Jessica Reed, Mark Reed (Stephanie), Brianna Taylor (Josh), Paige Hicks, Peyton Hicks, Michael Ellison and Makayla Ellison; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Madison Funeral Services with Pastor Randy Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
