Early Day Resident Succumbs
Virrell James Burrington, 66, died Monday. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital unit. Funeral services will be at 10am Wednesday, Dec 4, at the Sixth Avenue Christian Church.

Burrington was born May 2, 1902, at Appleton, MN. He came to Havre in 1916 with his parents who homesteaded in the St Joe area, and later served with the Marines following World War I. He had farmed the family place for about 40 years.

He married Dorothy Reynolds on March 2, 1935, at Havre. She survives as do three sons, Dannie, James and Mitchell, all of Havre, and a daughter, Miss Amber Lee of Great Falls. Also surviving are six grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs Janet Hedman of Gig Harbor, WA.

Burrington was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Havre Aerie 156, the Farmers Union Oil Co, and a board member of the Hill County Credit Union. He was a member of the Sixth Avenue Christian Church.
