Joseph “Joe” Giles Parrish, 67 of Pavo, passed away April 25, 2017 at Archbold Memorial Hospital, in Thomasville, GA. He was born March 31, 1950 in Ochlocknee, GA., the son of the late Clifford Parrish and Marie Giles Parrish. On July 19, 2015 he married S. Jane Parrish, who survives.
Mr. Parrish was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a 30 year firefighter for the City of Thomasville. He was a member of New Jerusalem Freewill Baptist Church and a former longtime member of Pavo Baptist Church. He loved donkeys and had a great love for horses. He loved hauling horses with his nephew Bret Parrish and selling cowboy hats with his nephew Brook Parrish. He never met a stranger, he loved people, his family and eating fish.
Joe is also survived by his son, Cole and wife Heather; bonus daughters, Tracey and Terry; grandchildren, Kiff, Kinley, Jami, Morgan and Michael; great-grandchildren, Carson, Kinley and Aria; brother, Greg; 4 nephews, 1 great niece and 3 great nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his brother Kiff Parrish.
