Mr. Parrish was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a 30 year firefighter for the City of Thomasville. He was a member of New Jerusalem Freewill Baptist Church and a former longtime member of Pavo Baptist Church. He loved donkeys and had a great love for horses. He loved hauling horses with his nephew Bret Parrish and selling cowboy hats with his nephew Brook Parrish. He never met a stranger, he loved people, his family and eating fish.
Joe is also survived by his son, Cole and wife Heather; bonus daughters, Tracey and Terry; grandchildren, Kiff, Kinley, Jami, Morgan and Michael; great-grandchildren, Carson, Kinley and Aria; brother, Greg; 4 nephews, 1 great niece and 3 great nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his brother Kiff Parrish.
