Don't know much about Henry Allen except what I have found on ancestry.com. He married Amanda V. Turner about 1907 and they became the parents of 8 children: James Floyd, Joseph Ernest, Lois, Lola, Gertrude, Jesse C., Lillian, and Henry Eston Allen. Ernest became the grandfather of my cousin, Jean Jones Cochran. Since she is not interested in the computer, I did most of the searching for her.
Henry was born in 1888 yet his Draft registration card on June 5, 1917 lists his birthday at 1889. He had a wife and five children at the time of his draft registeration. He was the son ofJoe Brown Allen and Margaret Holt Allen. His occupation was a farmer but he moved to Lindale in Floyd County, GA from Gilmer County to go to work in the mill. He died on Dec. 24, 1927. I could not make out the cause of death from his dc but it had something to do with his tongue. Sad time to die on Christmas Eve. He was buried in the Lindale Cemetery. He left a wife and 7 children. Mandy was pregnant with her 8th child at the time of his death and Eston was born the following April. By the 1930 census record, the older children were married which left mom to raise 5 children alone.
