Lee Harvey, 85, of Jeffersonville, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at UK Hospital. He was born September 23, 1931 to the late Fred and Edna Sheppard Harvey. He was a devoted member of the Baptist Faith and served in the Marines 1950-1953. As a former Marine he was a Veteran of the Korean War. He spent a total of 13 years in North Middletown, Bourbon County, Kentucky. He ran the Ashland Service Station there plus was the Fire Chief, and the Mayor. The last 28 years he ran Harvey's Small Engine Repair, the Lawnmower Shop in Jeffersonville, Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Erma Jean Nickels Harvey; two sons, Tony Harvey (Sue) and Ricky Harvey (Vickie); a daughter, Terri Harvey Hay; ten grandchildren, Sabrina, Jordan, Stacey, Megan, Kellie, Cody, Tyler, Brandon, Adam and Tori; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Margie Stopher of Lexington, KY and Leatha Stidham of Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, George Harvey; and two sisters, Ruth Lamb and Hazel Harvey.

A graveside service will 1 PM, Friday, April 28, 2017 with Bro. Steve Creech officiating at Oldfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Harvey, Tyler Harvey, Brandon Hay, Adam Hay and Jordan Harvey. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Montgomery Post 22 of the American Legion, PO Box 1096, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
