She retired from Southern Bell (BellSouth) after 31 years of service in the Orlando and Nashville offices.
Helen truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures—chatting with family and friends; cruising with her son, Scott, in his '55 Chevy; and spending time at the beach.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Karen and Marshall Scott Nichols, two grandchildren, Shane Nichols and Shaina Beeson; aunts, Maryanne Burroughs, Regina Adomanis, Dorothy Barnard, and Patricia Cecil; nine brothers and sisters, Rosemary Cleveland, Sharon Jaeger, Jane Gonzales, Michael Burroughs, Kenneth Burroughs, Kathleen Burroughs, Linda Burroughs, Keith Burroughs, and Daphne Heath; childhood friend Kathy Ford Sandlin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Helen is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Crosby; brother, William Burroughs; and her parents.
A viewing for family, friends, and others whose life Helen has touched was held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, April 30, 2017. Her funeral services was May 1, 2017 at 10 at Hope Lutheran Church, 2600 N. Dean Rd., Orlando, FL, with Rev. Paul vonWerder presiding.
Helen Ann was buried beside her beloved David in Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, Florida.
