Ethel Pauline Morse, 97, of Tremont, passed away at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Fondulac Rehabilitation and Health Care in East Peoria.

Born November 5, 1919 in Sheffield to Frank Xavier and Anna Marie (Ver Hagen) Cittenhove, she married H. Ward Morse on January 5, 1941 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are three sons, Terry Lee (Mary) Morse of Payson, David Arthur (Sandy) Morse of Tremont and Douglas Andrew (Marie) Morse of Lafayette, Indiana; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, Ethel enjoyed crosswords, knitting, and eating out. She loved spending time with her family the most.

She was a member of the Heartland Christian Fellowship in Groveland.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Mike Turner and Rev. Lori Turner will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

Memorial contributions may be given to her church at 18603 Springfield Rd. Groveland, IL 61535.
