Rigby was a sweet, beautiful sheppard/border collie mix who was given to us by friends. Rigby was named after that Beatles' song and today, we had to put her down because she was suffering from renal failure. She was 14 years old, but had spent her first 9 years before we got her without medical care. She was very, very sick when I first brought her home, but I nursed her back to health and she spent nearly 6 years with our little doggie family being loved and cherished. She used to sleep with me at night, so I am going to have a very hard time getting past her death. I cry myself to sleep at night without her. She was such a comfort to me, feeling her warm body on my cold feet. But it was the right thing to do; she was suffering and now she will be one of the many doggies I have ever loved who will come to greet me when I get to go Home.
