Daniel Burlin Sauceman 81, of the Orebank community, passed away Friday afternoon at Takoma Regional Hospital.

Burlin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.

Burlin loved his church and attended regularly.

He retired from TRW/Parker Hannifin in 1997.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Carolyn Sauceman; a daughter: Roxanna Jaynes; a son and daughter-in-law: Ralph and Heather Sauceman; six grandchildren: Renata Knuckles, Nick Jaynes, Nadalynn, Jesse, Jud, and Rhett Sauceman; five great-grandchildren: Raymond Knuckles, Isaac Jaynes, Olivia, Breanna and Dresden McClintock and Caleb Mullins; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law: Jimmy and Rhonda Hensley, Eddie Hensley and Linda Hensley; a special nephew and niece: Matthew Hensley and Cortne Gibson; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and lots of special friends

He was preceded in death by his parents: Jesse and Opha Sauceman; and a brother: James Sauceman.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Afton chapel, with the funeral service following at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Pastor John Grimm, Pastor Jim Fain and Pastor Don Petty will officiate.

A private interment will be held in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery.
